What does Highbiscus taste like?
Our Hibiscus CBD tea offers a bright, tart, refreshing flavor with a mild sweetness from citrus and lemongrass. With a sweet tang from the cranberry and a finishing note of sweetness from stevia, Highbiscus is a fantastic tea year-round (though it’s our co-founder’s favorite during the summer when iced!).

The Benefits of Highbiscus CBD Tea
Known for its vibrant red color, hibiscus flowers or Hibiscus sabdariffa thrive in a tropical climate and is a traditional tea worldwide. Hibiscus tea is made from dried parts of the hibiscus flower. It has a naturally sweet but tart flavor and a similar flavor profile to cranberries. It is ideal for blending into herbal infusions, syrups, or even dying fabrics. Interestingly, there are over 200 species of Hibiscus flowers, and they are grown in most tropical areas, with very few varieties able to grow in cold temperatures. Hibiscus flowers are included in many teas in Mexico, Latin America, and North America. Hibiscus tea, often called Aga de Jamaica, is usually served chilled with sugar to sweeten the flavor of the natural tart.
So, what’s it suitable for?
First, hibiscus is high in vitamin C, supporting a healthy immune system. Hibiscus tea is also full of phytochemicals, like polyphenols and anthocyanins, commonly known as antioxidants. Antioxidants help protect against the effects of oxidative stress that occurs naturally in the body.
This blend also features dried cranberry, a potent superfood. Native to eastern North America, cranberries are edible, tart berries you’ve likely enjoyed on Thanksgiving. Cranberries are a trendy superfood in their own right, though. Like hibiscus, they are high in nutrients and antioxidants, and on their own, research has linked the nutrients of cranberries to help with urinary tract infections.
Next, we add a variety of other herbs and flavors. Stevia, for example, is known for its delightful taste. It has been used for thousands of years by the Guarani tribe for its health benefits and to cut the bitterness of teas, and it is often touted as a safe and healthy sugar substitute. Lemongrass is an aromatic and uplifting herb. Spearmint is a smooth and bright flavor that is refreshing and inspiring.
